One of the most successful things to happen to you at your job as a
political content creator or candidate, is hatred from others.
The more people hate you, the more successful you are. The amount of
hatred created is equal and opposite to the success it generates. As
hatred level grows, the people who hate the side that hates you, love you.
Nowhere is this more intuitive then blogs. Blogs demonstrate awards on their
page one for being the most hated by the other side. Its a badge of honor.
Savvy political pundits LOVE hatred. Hatred sells books and fills bank
accounts. Hatred buys you a beer.
Blogs seeking middle ground, common solutions, the best ideas are choked off
by the weeds of hatred as site hit count and buzz are more important then
solving issues.
Hatred Hunger is not new. Hatred has been a tool of humans since the
opposable thumb. Do blogs feed the current frenzy of hatred, or are blogs a reflection
of a current social wave?
